A few of my go to Chanel beauty products, which is your favorite ? My is COCO MADEMOISELLE. The essence of a bold and free woman. A feminine oriental with a strong personalty and a surprising freshness.
Chanel Exclusive Creation Healthy Glow Sheer Powder (Limited Edition)is one that I predict many will buy, because it is 1) limited edition and 2) unique in the packaging. However, I will tell you that the etching is quick to disappear. I brushed my brush over the surface of the powder a few times, and already the edges are blunted. Use it a few more times, and it will eventually fade. The powder I have is in shade No. 40 and available locally in 7 shades. On skin, it is so sheer, you can barely tell. I use it as an all over powder, and it doesn’t impart very much color to my skin. It just looks a tiny touch warmed, which is helpful for when a base leaves me looking too pale. It is very subtle, the powder is very fine, and it is an all-round lovely product.
Coco Mademoiselle Perfume by Chanel, This edition is the lighter and sweeter version of this fragrance, coming out one year after the original perfume and eau de parfum. This fragrance has top notes of orange, bergamot, and grapefruit. Its middle notes feature jasmine, rose, and litchi. The base notes consist of patchouli, Bourbon vanilla, vetiver, and white musk. This fragrance is long lasting and has moderate silage. This scent is just so classic and the longest-wearing scent I've ever had! Even when I can't smell it on myself anymore, late into the night I'll still get compliments — it's crazy. The 3.4 oz bottle has lasted me SO LONG!! I want to say over a year and a half and still smells just as good as new and I use it everyday, So the longevity is amazing.
Joues contraste Powder Blush is a medium pink with warmer undertones and a mostly matte finish. There was faint pearl I could see more in the pan than I could see in the swatch, and I didn’t notice any of it on my cheeks! It had medium, buildable pigmentation–and the brand markets their blushes as buildable–with a very finely-milled powder that was slightly powdery in the pan. It applied evenly and diffused well without having to work at it. The finish was definitely matte on my skin, and it did not seem to darken over time (which is an issue with some matte powders). On me, it wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
Chanel launched their first version La Creme Main Hand Cream last year in the cutest egg shaped packaging I’ve ever seen. The second launch was in a scented version called the On Hand Cream in the No 5 L’Eau which is a soft powdery version of the perfume. Most recently this fall Chanel released yet another formula called La Creme Main Texture Riche which is supposed to be a deeper richer texture that offers eight hours of hydration. The cap is removable and I’m really happy to report it always clicks back on even when in a handbag. I like it because it has a velvety dry down without any sticky or emollient residue. It smells like a soft sweet floral with a clean linen-like feel. It’s formulated to soften, smooth and brighten the hands. One I apply it, I do notice that my hands experience instant relief from dryness and they also look smoother (probably due to the silicone). The overall texture and feel is very lightweight, easy to blend and absorbs fast.
